Google Mobile Services (GMS)

Google Mobile Services (GMS) is a collection of Google applications APIs that help support functional across devices for Android system. 

Most of the apps offered by Google are free to download and use, but require the device to be certified by GMS if they need to be preinstalled GMS apps in the version.


Three Manufacturer Levels


1.
Use Android operating system for free, but without GMS embedded, such as Android phones in China.

2.
With some GMS service embedded, no use of Google logo, such as some China brands sell in overseas.


3.
With full sets of GMS services embedded GMS service and use of Google logo, such as Nexus.



An agreement that must be signed before GMS certification.


The brand owner provides the manufacturer to Google to review and evaluate whether    sign the agreement(not necessarily successful).

Signing period of MADA agreement: May varies, the average is 2-3 months.
